Levonorgestrel 1500mcg Emergency Contraceptive Pill “Morning After” is an emergency oral contraceptive pill.
The pill is taken to prevent you from getting pregnant.
You should only use Levonorgestrel in case of emergencies or when your usual method of contraception has not worked. It should not be used in place of your regular contraception.
How Levonorgestrel 1500mcg Emergency Contraceptive Pill “Morning After” work
Levonorgestrel 1500mcg Emergency Contraceptive Pill “Morning After” contain the active ingredient levonorgestrel. Levonorgestrel is a synthetic version of the hormone progesterone which is produced by the ovaries.
Levonorgestrel works by stopping or delaying ovulation. It can also stop sperm from fertilising an egg if it has already been released.
I had sex on Saturday night do you think I can use morning after pills today?
Levonorgestrel 1500mcg Emergency Contraceptive is licensed for use as an emergency contraceptive for up to 72 hours after sexual intercourse.
IF I had unprotected sex during ovulation will this work & how soon should I take it?
Both Levonelle and ellaOne are generally effective only if taken before the release of an egg from the ovary (ovulation), ie early on in the cycle. The sooner you take them, the more effective they will be. If you have unprotected sex in the 24 hour window immediately after ovulation, the period of time when the released egg can still be fertilised, then taking emergency contraception after this is unlikely to be effective, although the morning after pill may make the uterus environment less receptive to implantation, so there is a possibility that pregnancy could still be prevented.
after taking this emergency contraceptive, the next day i am having a really bad headache, would it be safe to take a paracetamol like anadins or would that cancel out the medication
Paracetamol or Anadin are fine to take with the morning after pill
I took Ezinelle an hour after unprotected sex. I was on the 3rd day of my period, and after I took it, my period completely stopped. Is this normal? And when should I expect my next period?
